My Story

Sydney was a toroiseshell coloured rex rabbit and he was the most amazing rabbit you could ever wish to meet. He was so happy and full of life! He was cute and affectionate, gorgeous and soft, great with adults and children alike! He bought a lot of joy and laughter into the lives of those who knew him and was taken away before his time! I believe everyone who knew Sydney, even those who had the briefest encounters with him, would be saddened to hear of his death. He died aged approximately 6 years old after tragically catching the dreaded Myxomatosis. Thankfully it was recognised early on and he was euthanized to spare him any suffering.
His origins are not well known but in 2008 and 2009 Sydney lived at a farm museum where he bought lots of happiness to all the visitors who met him! After the farm sadly closed he was rehomed with myself and my family. For the next 2 or so years we looked after and cherished him as though he was a member of the family. This summer he spent all his time outdoors either in his run or enjoying our large garden and I believe that he could not have had a happier time in his last few months on this earth.
Sydney has left us all now to be in Rabbit Heaven! I'm sure he will be enjoying lots of his favourite treat (dandelion leaves) and hopping around like the bundle of joy we all remember him as!
